Marshal Eye Version 2 goes live – Smarter, Sharper, and Even More Informed

We’re pleased to share the powerful updates included in Version 2 of Marshal Eye, released in February 2024. This update was all about adding clarity, control, and cost-saving intelligence to the way organisations manage evacuations and incident response.

Introducing the Digital Report Top Sheet

Previously, the digital reports provided deep, granular data—detailing every action taken, each role claimed and completed, and all messages timestamped to the second. While this was incredibly rich information, we knew there needed to be a clear, high-level summary.

So in Version 2, we introduced the Top Sheet: a single-page summary that gives an instant snapshot of site performance during an evacuation.

Key insights include:

Total time taken for full site clearance

How long for all Tasks to be claimed

Reason incident was closed

This summary is a game-changer for compliance, debriefs, and continuous improvement.

🧭 Enhanced Dashboard Control with Grab Bars

We also introduced Grab Bars—a simple yet powerful feature. When creating your customised tasks and your sweep areas, administrators can now drag and reorder them in the dashboard. This directly affects how roles and tasks are displayed in the app, giving greater control over task prioritisation and visibility.

⏱️ Role Availability Pre-Evacuation

A critical addition in Version 2 is the ability to make selected roles available before committing to an evacuation.

During the interim phase, this is after an incident has commenced on the application but prior to committing to an evacuation, certain roles (e.g. Alarm Investigator) would need to be claimed immediately. Admins can now tick a box in the dashboard to ensure these roles are available from the start of an incident, giving teams a vital head start.

❌ Cancelling Incidents (Without Evacuating)

One of the most requested features: the ability to cancel an incident prior to evacuation.

We’ve now added this functionality, allowing the lead Marshal to cancel an incident directly from the interim screen. A mandatory reason must be entered, and all Marshalls receive a notification explaining the cancellation.

This provides, clarity across the entire response team and will reduce costly unnecessary evacuations.

🎯 Version 2 of Marshal Eye is a leap forward in intelligent, practical incident management. We listened to your feedback and focused on features that save time, reduce costs, and deliver insight where it counts.

As always, we’re committed to helping you stay safe, compliant, and in control.
